Campaign Story

Hello, my name is Mercedes. Before our lives were joined together my husband Javonta had two beautiful daughters. In the past, I have gotten pregnant that resulted in a very traumatic miscarriage. After meeting my husband, I had a Stroke. We were later trying to conceive. After many failed pregnancy test, I decided to visit a specialist to see what could be the problem. After further observation, I was diagnosed with PCOS and a closed fallopian tube. One of my tubes was surgically removed previously from excessive swelling and cysts. Several doctors told me only IVF would be my option to conceive. I was so determined to find other options before we finalized on that. We then found a doctor that we spoke to that said we could potentially surgically open the tube if it wasn’t too much. We knew that there was a potential that it could close back in the healing process. Just our luck my tube closed. Here we are now 2 years many failed test and surgeries later trying to expand our family. I have gotten the approval to do IVF with close monitoring due to my health history. It is so important to at least be able to bring in one biological child in this world to bond with its sisters. Even more so because I am an only child and my parents don’t have any biological grandchildren. Life has definitely been a bit of an uncontrollable change. Unfortunately we just haven’t been able to place this in our budget.
